Senior Finance Analyst in Chicago, IL at MasTec Network Solutions

Job Description

Our company is searching for an experienced Senior Financial Analyst to join our team. As a Senior Financial Analyst, you will take an active role monthly reporting and analysis, ad-hoc reporting, budgeting vs actuals analysis, forecasting, and projections. This involves interacting with a diverse group of internal personnel, including other analysts, divisional leadership, and functional staff to interpret data and operational performance. We are looking for an individual who is efficient and comfortable being a member of a team. This position can be based out of our Houston TX, Chicago IL, or Corona CA offices.


Essential Duties Include:
  • Revenue & Margin analysis to identify trends in customer/project/region profitability and opportunities to maximize margins
  • Price/volume modeling for customers and vendors to develop projections for profitability and provide support for customer bids/RFPs
  • Operational & financial modeling to develop KPIs and metrics for evaluating workforce performance and resource needs
  • Analyzing precision and accuracy of revenue and cost budgets used for percentage of completion revenue recognition
  • Financial reporting of month-end/quarter-end/year-end results to regional leaders and executive management
  • Mining financial/non-financial data and creating standard and recurring presentations to executives and finance personnel
  • Revenue forecasting for regional markets
  • Ad-hoc analysis and risk assessment (for example, inventory management) as needed
  • Utilizing business intelligence tools (Oracle/Hyperion) to take advantage of gains from automation and system generated reporting for recurring financial analysis

Job Requirements

Basic qualifications for this position:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Business/Finance/Economics (higher education preferred)
  • Four (4) years, or more, of experience in financial reporting and analysis
  • Accounting / GAAP knowledge
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel)
  • Strong initiative, dedication, and follow through
  • Ability to manage multiple projects within deadlines
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Able to successfully clear our pre-employment screening

Preferred qualifications for this position:

  • Experience in Telecommunications or Construction industries
  • Technical proficiency in Oracle and Hyperion
