The Health, Safety and Environmental Manager provides safety leadership, ensures operational compliance with safety standards, implements safety directives, assists management to improve safety performance, and helps align safety policies and procedures with regulations. This position supports operations departments and subcontractors. This position is based in Denver, CO and will involve travel to other project sites within the region. These projects are located within CO, WY, NE and UT. Expect up to 50% travel to visit project sites.
Essential Functions
- Develop and support creation of a strategy of safety and compliance strategic goals.
- Ensure site management has the appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, managers, and supervisors, in order to drive the safety culture, compliance, and results.
- Supervise, lead, and mentor company-wide safety and compliance support staff.

- An Associate’s degree or equivalent.
- Five (5) years related supervisory experience in a safety role.
- Working knowledge of the construction and/or telecommunications/electrical/gas industry.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to read and understand maps, drawings, and diagrams for projects plans.
- Ability to think strategically and provide strong leadership.
- Strong knowledge of applicable regulations.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- OSHA 500 Preferred Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree in related field of study.
- OSHA 10 and 30 Certifications.
- Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) Certifications, such as ASP or CSP.
- Certified Utility Safety Professional (CUSP)
