Job Description

The Regional Sales Director (RSD) will be responsible for generating short and long term revenue opportunities for their region by leveraging existing marque client director and above relationships and newly fostered relationships. The RSD will be responsible for managing local MasTec Network Solutions (MNS) Sales Area Managers (SAM) in support of the similar sales initiatives within their territory. Additional, the RSD will work with MNS Sale and Operational leadership in collaborating, developing and executing a national marque client business development BU.

  • Act as the primary contact with the regional marque client and prospects, MNS’s sales team and operational Vice President for the region

  • Work in a collaborative effort with MNS operations teams in an effort to bring a competitive, reliable solution to marque clients wireless network deployment goals

  • Supervise and direct designated local area managers while obtaining corporate financial and BU expansion goals

  • Work with clients to help them improve business performance and profitability

  • Work with clients to help overcome pricing issues and create strong barrier to competition

  • Work with the Business Development VP in designing and implementing a sales plans to achieve the company's sales goals

  • Work with the Business Development VP in developing and executing a sales BD strategy plan that will identify and pursue sales leads and prospective clients

  • Present account plans to the senior management team to gain approval and commitment

  • Collaborate with other departments in creating a cost-effective marketing strategy to acquire major sales opportunities

  • Maintain an extensive knowledge of current market conditions

  • Take on special assignments as requested

  • Forecast sales on a bi-weekly basis and collaborate with operations team to forecast associated resources

  • Monitor and analyze competitive activities to assess any threat to important clients

  • Ability to use their account knowledge to set revenue targets and identify the resources needed to meet them

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales/Marketing or Engineering or related field
  • Pass and or current Verizon Wireless relationships
  • 10+ years of sales experience within the Wireless Industry
  • Sales driven with hunter mentality
  • Big picture long-term vision mind set
  • Documented regional marque client relationships
  • Entrepreneur attitude
  • Team player but self-motivated and self-directed while working independently accomplishing assigned goals
  • Excellent negotiating skills
