Job Description

The Regional HR Manager is responsible for leading all employee relations matters in their designated geographic regions. This position carries out responsibilities in the following functional areas: employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment/employment, affirmative action and employment law compliance. The RHRM may handle a specific group of offices/markets/territories under the auspices of the Human Resources Director or VP.

  • Work with leaders to develop and implement people and organization strategy to ensure business objectives are achieved
  • Provide proactive, innovative and customer‐oriented HR solutions and business objectives.
  • Openly listen and respond to employee and manager questions, issues or concerns and recommend appropriate actions to address them.
  • Work with managers to enforce employment policies including the attendance policies, layoff and recall procedures, disciplinary action, etc.
  • Responsible for executing enterprise wide and local HR initiatives and functions.
  • Oversees, handles, and manages employee relations issues including employee counseling, discipline, and separations. Research new approaches, policies, and procedures to enhance employee engagement and retention.
  • Assist the business with forecasting the resource requirements and skill competencies to support strategic business objectives and implement plans to close gaps.
  • Assists in evaluation of reports, decisions and results of department in relation to established goals. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to continually improve efficiency of the department and services performed.
  • Partners with management to plan business communications, department meetings, and other strategic business initiatives
  • Maintains human resource information system records and reporting to collect and analyze HR data
  • Ensures compliance with state, local, and federal guidelines and policies to protect the business and its employees.

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field

  • Human Resource Certification Institute SPHR, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

  • 5+ years of experience in the Human Resources field

  • Strong knowledge of federal, state and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office suites

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Understanding of HRIS systems, Oracle preferred

  • Excellent in time management & organizational planning

  • Follows instructions, responds to management direction and keeps commitments
