A Materials Buyer/Planner Coordinator is responsible for identifying and procuring the goods and services that an organization requires. The Materials Buyer/Planner Coordinator will work closely with the Market Scoping/Project Managers to identify material needs of the organization.

- Identify and determine the purchasing needs of the organization
- Work with Scoping and Production to forecast demand and evaluate inventory levels, and take orders from within the organization
- Perform cost management to identify areas of potential cost reduction and analyze the impact of pricing changes for goods and services
- Source materials using knowledge of current inventory levels for needed materials
- Create Purchases orders using defined purchasing protocols
- Assist in the receipt of purchased materials and services, and keep detailed records of purchases and stocks
- Carefully monitor deliveries and any past due shipments
- Build relationships with suppliers and manage their performance
- Conduct routine supplier business reviews, evaluating supplier performance and compliance
- Other duties as needed
