Job Description

The Market Operations Vice President provides leadership and vision to the organization and staff with the development of annual plans and with the evaluation and reporting on plans’ progress. They are responsible for all P&L functions which for site development activities including site acquisition, zoning, project management, and personnel maximization Oversees financial reporting, researches and analyzes documents and proposals as needed to assist the organization in determining and meeting its long and short term goals.

  • Oversee the market initiatives, including Project Planning, Resource Planning, Materials Management, Site Acquisition and Engineering
  • Oversee organization related expenditures to include transportation, subsistence and accommodations
  • Coordinate with Director, Implementation to oversee and deliver / transport all equipment and materials
  • Provide recommendations regarding financial strategies Oversee preparation of annual budget and regular variance statements
  • Provide vision regarding overall financial health of the market
  • Provide vision and leadership in long-range fiscal planning to ensure the continuity and solvency of the market
  • Provide recommendations regarding effective purchasing
  • Ensure accurate production documentation and quality control data and records 
  • Direct and oversee site production activities and personnel
  • Oversee and ensure high safety standards at all times
  • Direct production activities to ensure safety and compliance with quality control standards, regulatory compliance and lease agreements
  • Oversee and/or ensure good housekeeping at site at all times

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, MBA preferred
  • Minimum of five years of experience in business management, planning and financial oversight
  • Minimum of five years of experience in personnel management, including hiring, supervision, evaluation and benefits administration
  • Minimum of three years of experience working with senior executives
  • Proven skills in business and financial management
  • Demonstrated ability to work with customer and employee base 
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a proactively diverse and inclusive organization
  • Excellent and proven interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise a staff team 
  • Effective problem solving and mediation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to share skills and knowledge with others Proficiency with office computer equipment and software
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced office setting Proven ability to cope with conflict, stress and crisis situations
  • Ability to travel for meetings with vendors, suppliers, service providers or off-site contractors as business dictates
