Job Description

The Integration Technician III will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems.  As an Integration Technician, you will provide support in the maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures.

  • Provide guidance and leadership to other Technicians
  • Work closely with site development, construction, and subcontractor teams

  • Collect input data for scripting and integration process

  • Ensure additional LTE carriers are integrated to MasTec and customer standards

  • Prepare completion notices

  • Progress and status reporting to leadership and customer

  • Support troubleshooting as required

  • Climbing towers and ladders at various heights

  • Erection of various tower types

  • Off-loading material and inventory

  • Preparation and cleaning of sites

  • Installation of new carriers on new build and existing towers

  • Assists in tower erection using helicopters, cranes and gin poles

  • Assist in the assembly of monopole, all weld and knock down self-support and guyed towers

  • Assists in the antenna installation of microwave parabolic 1 to 15 foot, VHF, UHF, cellular and FM broadcast antennas

  • Assists in the transmission line and installation of foam / air dielectric coaxial, hardline and elliptical wave-guides

  • Assists in the installation of all aspects of cell site foundations, grounding and conduits, with electrical installations where applicable

  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalency

  • 7+ years of experience in the telecom industry

  • UMTS and LTE (Ericsson OEM)

  • Knowledge of AT&T network and processes is preferred

  • Understand how to read an RFDS and RNDCIQ, and how they relate to physical and logical components in the network

  • Understanding of the integration process, inputs, outputs, typical deliverables.

  • Understanding of Alarms, VSWR, RSSI and PIM and how to resolve

  • Understanding of basic performance KPIs

  • Need a mindset to handle fast pace and frequent changes

  • Ability to read, comprehend and carry out instructions per prints

  • Working knowledge of safety standards and regulations

  • Must have the ability to climb towers, be able to pick up 50 lbs., and be cable of working up to 12 hours

  • Individuals must have a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting the company policy conditions

  • Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary, and be willing to travel extensively

  • Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands
