Job Description

The Field Technician I will install, maintain, and operate wired, wireless, fiber optic and microwave telecommunications equipment and systems.  As a Field Technician, support will be provided in the maintenance and operation of generators, HVAC, and telecommunication site infrastructures.  

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Understands and implements MasTec Network Solutions (MNS) Health Safety and Environmental Policies. (Safety Manual).
• Understands and implements Industry standards (OSHA, TIA10-48, NATE CTS and ANSI)
• Able to read and understand a customer detail plan
• Provide superior customer service while ensuring all essential job functions are performed in a timely, efficient, accurate, and safe manner
• Adhere to all company and industry standards/regulations
• Conduct due diligences for multiple projects prior to field work
• Review peer work product
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Training

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED), technical degree preferred

Skills and Experience

• Minimum of 1 year general construction experience preferred; some cell industry experience highly preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old, have a valid driver’s license, and clean driving record to operate a company vehicle.
• Ability to work on ladders, demonstrated manual dexterity.
• Must be fit and in good physical condition
• Must have the ability to pick up to 50 lbs., and capable of working up to 12 hours.

Working Conditions

• Must be available to work weekends and/or nights, in extreme weather conditions if necessary
• Must have the ability and be willing to travel extensively, as required for job related functions.
• Must be able to work out of market or away from home as work demands.
