Wyco Field Services is looking for a Fiber Technician to join our location team.
Responsibilities:
%26bull; Ability to install, troubleshoot, splice, and maintain fiber optic systems
%26bull; Prep and hang fiber optic enclosures, nodes, and related equipment
%26bull; Route, splice, and/or terminate fiber in equipment racks at central offices, hub sites, and other various MPOE's
%26bull; Perform fusion splicing
%26bull; Perform OTDR and Power Meter tests
%26bull; Perform optical power loss tests
%26bull; Read and create design maps, fiber schematics, and basic electronic designs
%26bull; Operate aerial lift and other related equipment to perform job functions
%26bull; Frequently communicate with management on workload status
%26bull; Occasionally performs routine construction work, i.e., pulling rope/cables, climb ladders, use hand tools, dig with shovels, etc.
Requirements:
%26bull; Light mechanical skills
%26bull; Ability to work without direct supervision
%26bull; Strong organizational skills
%26bull; Professional demeanor
%26bull; Vendor management experience
%26bull; Must possess a valid driver%26rsquo;s license and clean driving record for driving to and from assigned projects in company vehicles
%26bull; Must be able to pass a standard background check and pre-employment drug screening
%26bull; Ability to work in all weather conditions including extreme heat and/or cold - 95% of time working outdoors
