The Coaxial Cable Splicer is a skilled field position in the installation and repair of Coaxial cable, responsible for performing splicing functions, either new to new or new to existing, once the cable has been placed then rearranging the existing cable. This position supports the Splicing team and works with personnel within the department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform Coaxial cold splicing and activation;
2. Install and test pressurized and non-pressurized enclosures;
3. Install and dress Coaxial cables, both vertically and horizontally;
4. Test and troubleshoot Coaxial cables by utilizing all forms of testing equipment;
5. Forward/reverse sweep and network verification;
6. Maintain Coaxial asset inventory and splicing records;
7. Install and program Nodes(Optimization) and Amplifiers fiber and coaxial;
8. Splice Coaxial line extenders and drops;
9. Lockbox installation and activation;
10. Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
