Job Description

At MasTec Network Solutions, the Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for receipt and accounting of funds being paid to the organization. The AR Specialist will serve as a lead with ensuring that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed to account for the receipt of payment for goods and services completed by the organization.

  • Ability to direct staff in their day to day job duties to ensure successful performance of their jobs
  • Communicates all activities to controller
  • Applies customer payments by recording all transactions promptly
  • Researches and solves payment discrepancies
  • Calculate and post receipts to appropriate general ledger accounts
  • Prepare and post invoices and credit and debit memos Effectively maintain the relationship of all vendor accounts
  • Ensures all collection of payments are received as agreed on negotiated timeframe
  • Maintains immaculate Accounts Receivable records
  • Maintains immaculate Accounts Receivable records
  • Develop monthly and quarterly accounting reports for senior
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance and/or equivalent years of experience
  • 3 + years of experience in the Accounts Receivable field
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
  • Oracle experienced is preferred
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial information
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Advanced computer skills (i.e., MS Word, Excel, Oracle, and web-based tools)
  • Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment
