Job Description

At MasTec Network Solutions, a Sr Accountant is responsible accurately maintaining of proper accounts to ensure financial records and procedures are up to date. A Sr Accountant should have the experience to find and resolve any accounting issues, analyze and interpret data and provide financial reports to the leadership on findings.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Preparation of journal entries.
  • Manage, capitalize, transfer and deplete Fixed Assets as needed.
  • Perform period end General Ledger account reconciliation, including research and correction of any discrepancies.
  • Analyze leases for proper accounting, including adding them to the lease module with proper terms and managing them as needed.
  • Ability to perform Ad hoc reporting.
  • Promptly and effectively communicate with both internal and external customers and auditors.
  • Other job duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

Education and Training

  • Bachelor%26rsquo;s Degree in Accounting.

Skills and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Accounting.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering financial information.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning financial information.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Oracle, and web-based tools.
  • Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Working Conditions

  • Must have the ability and be willing to travel, as required, for job related functions.
  • Works primarily in an office environment.
