Job Description

The role of the Permit Coordinator (Closing) is to close all permits for completed construction work.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

- Receive communication and requests from Site Acq PM’s and/or License holders for picking up / paying for Electrical and Building permits from jurisdictions throughout Miami Market

- Verify active permit is scheduled for final inspection and coordinate that with the respective jurisdiction

- Scan/email the final inspection to respective parties and close the record on a quick base

- Make a trip to the site to post permits as needed and/or pick up final inspections if they cannot be emailed

- Must maintain timelines for permit submittals

- Other job duties as assigned

Skills and Experience

  1. Bachelor’s (Preferred)
  2. Construction: 1 year (Preferred)
  3. Familiarity with construction documentation such as Plans, Redlines, and Borelogs (Preferred)
  4. Strong computer skills and proficiency with Adobe and Microsoft Office applications, such as Outlook and Excel.
  5. Experience with Smartsheets and SharePoint is a plus
  6. Detail-oriented and highly organized in written and verbal communication.
  7. Must be able to manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
  8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  9. Ability to read construction plans.
  10. Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less.  
  11. Ability to identify and distinguish colors.
