At MasTec Network Solutions, the Payroll Analyst is responsible accurately maintaining of proper payroll documentation records and procedures for the weekly & biweekly payrolls.

•Oversee the collection of payroll data and audit payroll information from payroll system (timesheets, paid time off, benefit deductions, holidays, etc.) to ensure accuracy of payroll processing as well as compliance with all payroll and FLSA regulations.
•Oversee, process, and audit variable pay payments such as commissions, bonuses, incentives, merits, etc to ensure accuracy as well as compliance with all payroll and FLSA regulations.
•Reviews Federal, State, and Local Tax setups and addresses tax issues as needed.
•Participates in strategic planning related to payroll operations to identify process improvements and increase efficiency.
•Interpret payroll implications to process the proper pay transactions.
•Promptly and effectively communicate with both internal and external customers.
•Process multiple weekly payroll audits to ensure accuracy of the payroll process.
•Identifies and suggests appropriate actions for resolving problems in the processing of payroll
•Coordinate and check for accuracy of payments from the field payroll personnel: rate changes, retroactive pay, overtime, new hires, terminations, LOA’s.
•Batch, balance, and verify: bonus, timecards, per diems, and other time labor retros per payroll cycle.
•Review retro benefits and miscellaneous deductions files per payroll cycle.
•Review and approve preliminary payroll registers per payroll cycle.
•Interpret and process PTO payouts, severance payments, and terminations based on company policy and state/federal regulations.
•Create and distribute payroll reports per payroll cycle.
•Cross-train in other payroll processes.
•Process and maintain prevailing wage requests.
•Complete other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Skills and Experience

•Associate Degree (bachelor’s Preferred) and/or equivalent years of experience.
•3 to 5 years of experience in Payroll with multi-state company.
•Ability to work with a sense of urgency while maintaining a high level of accuracy working in a fast-paced environment.
•Ability to maintain confidentiality concerning payroll information.
•Effective verbal and written communication skills.
•Intermediate to Advanced computer skills, i.e., MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Pro. Familiarity with multiple Excel formulas such as VLOOKUP, If/And Statements, and Pivot Tables.
•Ability to collaborate effectively with others in a fast‐paced, dynamic environment.
•Knowledge of Oracle HRMS System, Payroll, and Reports preferred.
