WYCO Field Services is a turnkey utility contractor providing services in all areas of utilities construction. We handle all aspects of the project including construction, engineering, project management, installation, and splicing. We are currently serving the Western United States including Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Wyoming and New Mexico. WYCO Field Services is looking to hire Equipment Operator to work in the Colorado Wireless Division.

We have a career opportunity for an Equipment Operator to work with our Denver, CO Division and who can meet the technical, physical, and travel requirements of the position.


  • Able to read, understand and set offset grades and grade stakes and to work in both tenths and inches.
  • Has a good working knowledge of various pieces of equipment and understands the efficient and safe operation of heavy equipment.
  • Distinguishes between properties, types and moisture content of soils.
  • Keeps machine in clean running order.
  • Back fill sidewalks, curbs and gutters.
  • Always maintain control of equipment and operate in a safe manner.
  • Always look behind you when backing up and watch for traffic, both vehicular and pedestrian.
  • Ensures that preventative maintenance and inspections are performed and that machines are kept in a safe and clean running order.
  • Can efficiently and safely operates various types of earth moving equipment such as wheel loaders, excavators, compactors, skid steers, rubber-tired hoes, etc.
  • Start, warm up, check controls and shut down machines. (Must start work early in order to start up the machines).
  • Operates equipment only after the underground utility locates have been identified and knows where the current locate ticket is kept.
  • Must be able to work long hours, nights and weekends on snow removal as required.
  • Be able to identify when the machine is operable or needs to be shut down! Immediately reports all damage and repair needs to supervisor.
  • Help fuel and grease machine; check the equipment daily for fluids.
  • Work safely and if you are unsure, ask your foreman first.
